Green Beginnings is a small, family run business located in the gloriously sunny coastal town of Weymouth in Dorset. We sell a selection of organic, natural and eco-friendly products, all of which have been personally tested by ourselves, our friends and our family.
Green Beginnings was born out of the frustration of not finding many organic products locally. Weymouth, as is probably the case with many other small towns, has many nationwide high street shops in their town centres that cater for the masses but that provide very little choice for those of us that pull out of the mainstream habbits of daily living.
Once we had welcomed our first (of four) children into our lives, our priorites seemed to change overnight. We immediately questioned the meaning of locality, of community and our eyes were opened to the amount of unneccesary chemicals that we were exposing ourselves and our children to on a daily basis. We had to make some changes, and fast. But it wasn't easy. Three years ago (1996), there were no organic skin care, beauty care or organic baby care products on sale in Weymouth. We weren't going to lose heart and looked into sourcing our own products for ourselves and our likeminded friends. We started to provide ourselves and friends with top quality organic baby products by Green People, Organic Babies, Earth Friendly Baby and Natracare.

Our feminine care section contains organic and natural products for sanitary protection including organic panty liners and towels. We have recently added household and storecupboard items to our range.
